Hi I’m Kayla!

Hi, I'm Kayla Morrison! I am a Savannah based Surface designer and I primarily create graphics and patterns for children’s products but I also dabble in animation and concept design. My work is influenced by my love of storytelling, pretty colors, and exaggerated shape language. I draw inspiration from my own life, from catching frogs and riding bikes as a kid in the PNW, to my teen years nerding out in choir and theatre, to my college studies in the sweet ol’ city of Savannah, Georgia.

Through academic projects and hands-on experience, I have familiarized myself with all stages of the design process from trend research to design to prepping files and final printing. I bring my own unique approach to design along with a keen eye for color and print that is adaptable to brand-specific aesthetics. I am committed to producing work that not only meets deadlines but also reflects my highest level of creativity and craftsmanship.

Some of my hobbies include reading way too late into the night, watching youtube, crocheting (badly), my recent discovery of the joys of napping in a hammock, and messing with my little dog, Chewie. My family, friends, and partner are at the center of my life, and they inspire me to bring care, joy, and balance into everything I create.
